As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, in order to relieve the inmates’ homesickness and strengthen family connections and family support, our office jointly organized the 112th Annual Mid-Autumn Festival Telephone Visit with Chunghwa Telecom Taoyuan Operations Office on September 27, 2012. The event provides an opportunity for the inmates to communicate with their families through voice (telephone) transmissions and express their gratitude to their families for their company.

A total of 191 inmates participated in this Mid-Autumn Festival phone kissing event. On the day of the phone kissing event, all the students who participated in the phone kissing were eagerly looking forward to it. Their expressions were a little excited and nervous. When they were on the other end of the phone The moment I contacted my loved ones, my face showed even more happiness and joy, and the venue was filled with a warm and harmonious atmosphere. The inmate, Xiao Jin (pseudonym), was imprisoned for the first time due to a fraud case. He was transferred from the general prison to this prison in June. He especially used this phone call to confess to his family. I listened to my family’s advice and made a big mistake. I hope that after I am released from prison, I can start a new life and not make the same mistakes again!

Ye Junhong, the warden of Bade Foreign Service Prison, said that the purpose of organizing the phone kissing activity on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival is to use this activity platform to help students activate the family support function button and prepare them for their return to society in the future; Family support is the driving force that promotes the return of adopted students to their families. I hope that inmates can maintain a grateful heart and have an original attitude toward everything, and start over. The event will end in a warm and touching and happy ending.
