Baby Group-Family support activity

The family is the source of human life, the basic unit of society, and the life sustenance and belonging of most people. However, the process of serving a sentence separates the inmate from his family, and the family relationship has to face a major test during this period, especially when there are children under the age of six in family. For young children under the age of 6 who need the company of their parents and family members. If they cannot feel sufficient love and companionship from their families during their golden period of growth, it will affect their healthy physical and mental development, attachment relationships, self-identity and trust in society.

Therefore, we plan the " Baby Group-Family support activity " to encourage inmates and young children to show love and companionship through parent-child interaction processes such as art creation, picture book sharing, games, etc. in the group. Share each other’s thoughts and expectations, and the social worker will also provide guidance in a timely manner, provide parenting suggestions and discussions based on the individual status and needs of each family, and help the inmate and wife strengthen the relevant concepts of parent-child education. After the activity, Invite young children to take home the co-created works for collection, and enhance the sense of meaning of their parents’ companionship through physical objects with commemorative value.
