The local COVID-19 situation is trending upward again.

Recently, netizens in TW issued a post “The globe, Watch! Taiwanese will only demonstrate once” to arouse confidence in COVID-19 pandemic prevention. Agency of corrections, Ministry of Justice has instructed to suspend inmates work outside the prison and postpone return home visit. This activity is particularly implemented to enliven the life of the inmates to stabilize the temper in the prison.

  The one-sentence contest is an internet phenomenon caused by internet celebrities. It is a type of online event held on Facebook. The theme is determined by the initiator of the event, such as“ One sentence ○○○ contest”. Participants need to respond the theme with one sentence as a slogan.

  Due to the ongoing pandemic, and the situation is even worse. The Central Epidemic Command Center raised the nationwide COVID-19 alert to level 3. In order to strengthen the awareness of the inmates to prevent the corona-virus, this event was held with the theme of pandemic prevention. A total of 106 sentences participated in the competition, and the inmates use humor、sarcastic way discussing pandemic situation and COVID-19 prevention views, expressing the feeling about the condition of pandemic. Given the rule that each sentence should be less than 20 words, all involved competitors racked their brains and produced all kind of creative sentence.

  In the end, 16 excellent works were selected from a total of six judging votes by the deputy warden and each head of department. Such as “Lock the town, virus is gone (done)”, “Stay home & stay fine is better than anxious outside”, “Hand sanitizing, virus dying! 7 tips to clean hand, no longer forget” etc. These works of good sentences will be uploaded to Bade minimum security prison official Facebook, making the perfect ending to the event.
