1.Health examinations:

Each new inmate should take health examination and inspection of sexually transmitted diseases and chest X-ray. If new inmate has infectious disease, we will follow the doctor’s order to further medical treatment or isolation.

2.Medical service:

We provide comprehensive health insurance medical service within prison in collaboration with NHI-contracted institutions. Our onsite outpatient services including weekly family medicine and dentistry, as well as monthly dermatology and psychiatry clinics. If further evaluation or treatment is needed, we will escort the inmate to seek medical care outside the prison.

3.Medical Equipment:

The prison is well equipped with medical facilities, including 12-lead ECG machine, multifunctional physiological monitor, dental X-ray machine, automatic medicine packaging machine, AED defibrillator, oxygen generator, oxygen cylinder, autoclave, stretcher, wheelchair, oximeter, and blood pressure machine, to continuously improve the quality of medical care services for inmates and effectively reduce the incidence of infectious diseases.

4.Health Promotion:

We cooperate with Department of Health, Taoyuan City Government and Taoyuan General Hospital to offer health educations such as CPR/AED, skin diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, chronic diseases, personal hygiene, and so on. We also provide adult preventative care service and influenza/COVID-19 vaccination annually.

5.Environmental Sanitation:

There is an environmental cleaning and disinfection in every worksite and ward each workday.
