To celebrate the annual Christmas season, Bade Minimum-Security Prison joined hands with the New Taipei City Messiah Holistic Care Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association") on December 17, 2024, to organize the "Christmas Carols: Let Love Move" event. This initiative aimed to bring good tidings to the inmates, promote the values of kindness, and provide psychological support.
The Association has long partnered with the prison to conduct book clubs, offering inmates the opportunity to actively engage with a variety of books and cultivate reading habits during their incarceration. This year, on the eve of Christmas, the Association thoughtfully planned a caroling event to bring festive joy and a sense of peace to the inmates.
Wen Min-Nan, head of the prison’s Education and Rehabilitation Section, expressed deep gratitude to the volunteers of the Association for their efforts and encouragement. He noted that their contributions help deliver goodness and peace to the inmates, illuminating happiness and enabling them to rediscover purity and hope.
Huang Hung-Hsi, the prison warden, emphasized that the volunteers of the Association are an indispensable part of the prison’s diverse rehabilitation programs. He extended special thanks to the pastors and volunteers for organizing this heartwarming event, which not only spreads hope and love but also strengthens the inmates’ determination to reintegrate into society. The event inspires them to reclaim inner peace, return to simplicity, and rekindle a clear and renewed sense of purpose.
