The Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation (Tzu Chi), in collaboration with the correctional facility, has organized various arts and cultural rehabilitation activities, such as ocarina classes, providing inmates with opportunities to engage in music and cultivate their musical talents during their incarceration. As 2024 draws to a close, a special year-end blessing event titled "Grateful for Past Peace, Welcoming a Blessed and Wise New Year" was thoughtfully planned to create an atmosphere of gratitude and positivity, encouraging inmates to embrace a sense of "blessing" and hope for the future.

Tzu Chi, adhering to the spirit of "gratitude, respect, love for life, harmony, and mutual respect without contention," held a heartwarming year-end blessing event as the year comes to a close.Amid solemn Buddhist chants, Tzu Chi volunteers delivered heartfelt blessings and compassion. Through sharing Jing Si Aphorisms and testimonials from those who have transformed their lives, they encouraged inmates to reflect on the past with positivity, look toward the future with hope, and pray sincerely for a new year of peace and harmony.Tzu Chi hopes to plant seeds of kindness in the hearts of the inmates, filling the prison walls with warmth and care. With the blessings of all, it is believed that everyone can embrace a year filled with hope, light, peace, and wisdom.

Wen Min-Nan, Head of the Education and Rehabilitation Section at the facility, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Tzu Chi's volunteers for bringing their compassion and gratitude into the correctional institution. He noted that their efforts allow inmates to feel the care and warmth of society.

Warden Huang Hong-Xi expressed his appreciation for Tzu Chi's volunteers, who embody the principles of "Diligently Cultivating Right Mindfulness and Practicing the Bodhisattva Path." Through this year-end blessing event, they aim to inspire inmates to bid farewell to the past year with gratitude and mindfulness, and to welcome the coming year with sincerity and joy.
