In order to raise the awareness of inmates about the fraud risks they may encounter in their daily lives, understand why they are defrauded, and avoid becoming accomplices to fraud, our prison held a lecture on "Protecting You and Me - Fraud Prevention and Control Promotion" on September 24, 2015. Clinical psychologist Xie Mingyu was invited to give a lecture. Through sharing practical experience and promoting fraud methods, the inmates' correct understanding of fraud prevention and their sense of reality of the value of money were strengthened.
The content of the promotional lectures covers analysis and rhetoric of common fraud methods, prevention and verification strategies, actual cases and legal responsibilities. Through the sharing of actual cases and the promotion of legal concepts and financial security education, the inmates can strengthen their correct understanding of fraud prevention, the reality of money values and interpersonal boundaries. From "understanding the methods" and "learning prevention" to "knowing how to ask for help", comprehensive information is provided to help inmates build a psychological defense against fraud.
