Event and Activites- 2025Event and Activities

In today's society, the risks of substance abuse and behavioral addiction cannot be ignored. To help inmates enhance their understanding of addiction and enhance their self-protection skills, the Bade Prison held the "Healing the Heart with Art - Handcrafting to Relieve Stress and Aid Addiction Recovery" event on October 3, 2015. Experienced case managers from the Drug Prevention Center were invited to provide guidance. Through a combination of artistic creation and psychological education, the event aimed to enhance inmates' recognition and awareness of addiction risks, teach them healthy ways to relieve stress, and cultivate self-efficacy and resilience in the face of temptation.
The course content is divided into three main themes: 1. Understanding Addiction and Risk Identification – Helping participants understand the development process of addiction, risk factors, and the profound impact on individuals, families, and society, thereby enhancing self-awareness. 2. Stress Management and Emotional Management – Guiding participants to identify sources of stress and establish healthy channels for relief and management. 3. Artistic Creation and Spiritual Healing – Through activities such as entanglement painting and handmade doll making, participants practice relaxation and self-calmness through focused drawing and creation. The sense of accomplishment upon completing a work of art strengthens self-affirmation and resilience.
The program, centered around the principle of "education through entertainment, healing through art," incorporates addiction prevention concepts into creative crafts, helping inmates learn about emotional conditioning and stress management through experiential learning, replacing negative stress-related reliance on alcohol, drugs, or gambling. We hope that through this program, participants will develop self-awareness, enhance their self-efficacy, and develop healthy strategies for stress relief and coping with temptation, laying a solid foundation for their future reintegration into society.
