To fulfill the legislative intent of the Prison Act, this institution actively promotes various work projects and vocational training programs. These initiatives are designed to cultivate professional skills, help inmates develop a diligent work ethic, and equip them with specialized expertise, laying a solid foundation for their successful reintegration into society.
I. Work Projects
Currently, the prison offers two types of work programs: Contracted Processing (In-prison) and External Employment (Out-of-prison).
- Contracted Processing: In partnership with private enterprises, the prison provides facilities and labor while the companies provide raw materials and technical guidance for inmates to perform processing tasks.
- External Employment: Inmates with exemplary behavior who meet specific criteria are selected to work at local partner factories. These inmates are either supervised by prison staff or allowed to commute independently. This initiative helps inmates adapt to workplace and social environments ahead of time while addressing the labor needs of local industries.
II. Vocational Training
By aligning with market demand and professional certification standards, the prison offers diverse vocational training courses to enhance inmates' employment competitiveness:
- Skill Development: Courses tailored to market needs include forklift operation, window film installation, housekeeping, painting, and horticulture.
- Professional Certification: The prison provides guidance for inmates to participate in the Ministry of Labor’s National Technician Skills Test to obtain nationally recognized professional licenses.
